Palo Alto’s 4th Tuesday Book Club Is a Page Turner

On the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7pm the tranquil setting of the Palo Alto, CA. branch of Books Inc. springs to life offering the book loving folks of the San Francisco Bay area at chance to make new friends and discuss the latest works of fiction. ’4th Tuesday (Margie’s) Book Club’ is hosted by Margie Scott Tucker, the co-owner of Books Inc, which is the oldest independent bookstore in the West and offers like-minded people a stimulating environment to discuss some quality book releases.

For November’s club meeting Jeffrey Eugenide’s 2011 novel ‘The Marriage Plot’ was up for discussion. Eugenide’s 2011 release is his first new novel since his 2002 work ‘Middlesex’, which won the 2003 Pullitzer Prize. The 4th Tuesday Book Club welcomes new members at every meeting. The friendly laid back atmosphere aids the local community not only by providing a chance to meet people to meet people with similar interests, but also as it is the perfect way for book lovers to get together and pick the bones out of some of the best new book releases.
